❔Commission FAQ

What kind of discs can you dye?

Most any premium plastics are dyeable. Some examples include:

Opaque premium blends - Star, ESP, Fuzion, Neutron, etc

Translucent premium blends - Champion, Z, Lucid, etc

Glow versions of the above plastics

What DOES NOT work well - baseline plastics, extra soft or extra hard blends, rubber blends.

What about colors?

Disc color makes a significant difference in what is possible with dye. Dark colored discs are not going to work well, and black discs are not possible to dye.

Good colors: White, pink, yellow, light blue

Bad colors: Black, orange, green, purple

What does it cost?

$30 for one disc, or $25 per disc if you send 3 or more at once!

This cost includes return shipping back to you, as long as you're in the US.

Will it damage the stamp?

Most stamps will be perfectly fine, though there is always some risk of stamp damage by exposing the disc to chemicals, heat, and the slight abrasion from washing the disc. I do my best to preserve stamps, but some stamps are simply weaker than others and do not hold up during the dye process.

How long does it take?

Between 1-2 weeks depending on workload and my personal life schedule.

How can I send you my disc(s)?

You are welcome to either pack up and mail a disc in your possession, or buy a disc from an online retailer and have it shipped directly to me.

I recommend reusing a box or bubble mailer from a previous disc order if you have one lying around. If not, a bubble mailer that's at least 9" in each direction will work great, 9"x14" is a commonly available size, and you can fold over the excess once the disc is inside.

For shipping, I highly suggest you get your shipping label from Pirate Ship.It should be about $4-5 to ship a disc to me from anywhere in the US.
